Secaucus Patriots Join Forces with Cutting Edge King Cobras for the 2024-2025 Season


Secaucus, NJ – In a significant move for youth hockey development in New Jersey, the Secaucus Patriots have announced they will be merging with the Cutting Edge King Cobras. Starting with the 2024-2025 season, the newly unified teams will compete under the King Cobras banner, symbolizing a new era of youth hockey excellence.


The King Cobras, known for their comprehensive youth hockey programs that span from Mite through to 18U levels, compete in the New Jersey Youth Hockey League (NJYHL). This strategic alliance is set to enhance the development pathways for young hockey talents, providing them with an opportunity to grow and compete at higher levels of the sport.


Enhanced Facilities and Opportunities


As part of the merger, the teams will benefit from an expanded range of facilities. Training sessions and home games will be held not only at Cutting Edge Ice Academy, but also at the Ice Rink in Buchmuller Park in Secaucus, NJ. This is in addition to other facilities already utilized by the Cobras, ensuring that players have access to top-tier ice rinks and training environments to hone their skills.
